L-3 GCS Named as Large Contractor in GSA SATCOM II Program
VICTOR, NY, May 07, 2007 - L-3 GCS, a leading supplier of satellite communication equipment and airtime, announced today that the company has been selected by the General Services Administration (GSA) to participate in a $750 million Satellite Services-II (SATCOM-II) program to provide next-generation, worldwide satellite services to federal, civilian and defense agencies.
L-3 GCS offerings under the five-year, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract include mobile satellite services (MSS) equipment and service (Inmarsat, Iridium, Globalstar and Thuraya), Fixed-site and Quick-deploy C- and Ku-band VSAT satellite systems and service, along with turnkey solutions for Emergency Response, Continuity of Operations, and live Video.
