The GCS-7773 SHARK is a secure mobile office system packaged in a single compact case providing SIPRNet and NIPRNet reachback via satellite. The SHARK features a removable NIPRNet module for red/black separation and SIPRNet IP acceleration through a selectable embedded SkyPipe® accelerator. The SHARK is designed to provide encrypted IP voice & data communications from virtually anywhere in the world, and can be set up for transmission by a single user in less than 10 minutes. Additional computers, network devices, and phones can be connected to the case to create a local area network communicating over a single secure satellite link. The SHARK is capable of seamless interface with the L-3 GCS Hawkeye and Cheetah families of auto-acquire VSAT terminals as well as terrestrial IP networks. The flexible power supply design allows operation from virtually any standard AC or DC power source as well as the provided backup batteries.
