 The Vanguard-II is a secure desktop mobile office system packaged in a single compact case. It is designed to provide encrypted IP voice & data communications from virtually anywhere in the world, and can be set up for transmission by a single user in less than 10 minutes. Additional computers, network devices, and phones can be connected to the
case to create a local area network communicating over a single secure satellite link.

Integrated with ViaSat KG-250 In-Line Encryptor and designed for SIPRNET reachback.
- The main communication module contains a router, 4 analog voice ports, 8 ethernet ports, KG-250 compartment, AC and DC power supplies and power distribution.
- The Explorer 700 BGAN transceiver mounts directly to the communications module to form a single compact unit that can be remoted from the antenna up to 18 meters.
- Allows for IP data rates up to 492Kbps (up and down).
The communication module (with transceiver attached) is only 9.0W x 13.0D x 5.2H (inches).
- Entire system fits into a transit case that is 22W x 15D x 9H (inches) and weighs approximately 35 pounds.
Transit case can accommodate a Panasonic CF-18 Toughbook computer, if required.
- System accepts 110/220VAC or 12VDC. A BA-5590 DC input cable is provided to allow operation from manpack radio batteries, and a HMMWV 24VDC to 12VDC cable is available as an option.
