GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for planning and designing manufacturing processes and work flow in our system integration facility. Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plans and coordinates manufacturing processes in manufacturing. Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
- Maximization of efficiency through analysis of physical layout, work flow, assembly methods and workforce utilization
- The Manufacturing Engineer will also assist in determining equipment and tools to be used and oversee assembly process documentation.
- Examining and tendering for new equipment to ensure the highest quality at the best price.
- Develop processes for the introduction of new products or for the improvement of existing ones
- Work with other engineers such as, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, to ensure all product and system requirements are taken into account from the initial product conception to finished result;

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Five to seven years of experience required. Prior experience working with electronic assembly operations or similar type of manufacturing operation extremely helpful. Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment. Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to interact with a variety of people including senior management and other employees. Must be proficient in the use of Visio, and database management; knowledge of and experience with lean manufacturing concepts required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, government regulations. Ability to write reports, procedure manuals, and correspondence. Ability to present information and respond to questions one-on-one or from groups of employees and managers.

Systems Development Engineer

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to and working with the Senior Manager Systems Engineering, the Systems Development Engineer will be responsible for system design and testing in support of the build of high performance VSAT products for L-3 Communications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Systems Development Engineer will be familiar with RF components and communications systems including specification, qualification and documentation of new electronic products. In addition, this engineer will have demonstrated the ability design and develop complex electronic products and/or systems to include all phases of manufacturing and customer support as part of an integrated product team.
- Understanding of communication theory with a practical knowledge of digital, RF, antenna and mechanical design and software development.
- Demonstrated ability to lead integrated product teams in the development and production of complex electro-mechanical products.
- Design of communications systems/products using OEM materials as well as custom electronic circuitry at the component/circuit card level.
- Demonstrated ability to define and meet performance requirements, including generation, management and documentation.
- Judgment and decision-making ability to define and meet product performance requirements.
- Define and carry out integration of L-3 products with customers’ systems or equipment.
- Hands on troubleshooting and integration skills using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum and network analyzers and active loads.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A BSEE or MSEE, with a focus in communications systems is preferred, and two plus (2+) years experience as an electrical engineer working with the design of electronic products. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Working knowledge of PC based tools, including drafting tools such as AutoCAD or similar drawing tools, Microsoft Office Suite, ORCAD or similar schematic capture tools, and bill of material generation and maintenance using enterprise resource planning software such as Macola.

Test Engineering Technician

Under the general supervision of the Senior Manager of Test Engineering, the Test Engineering Technician is responsible for assisting Test Engineers in the design and implementation of test plans, test procedures, test hardware and test software used during the manufacturing process.

- Work closely with Test Engineers to assist in the development of effective test procedures.
- Assume a lead role in the design and construction of hardware test fixtures.

- Train manufacturing personnel in the correct operation of test hardware/software put in place as new procedures and/or test fixtures are introduced.

SUMMARY:
Under general direction, Designs, installs, and evaluates quality assurance process sampling systems, procedures, and statistical techniques; designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; analyzes production and service limitations and standards; recommends revision of specifications when indicated; formulates or helps formulate quality assurance policies and procedures. May conduct training on quality assurance concepts and tools. Interfaces with all other engineering components within the organization and with customers and suppliers on quality related issues. - Responsible for planning, organizing and managing the overall activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions.
- Continuously improving QA receiving inspection process and procedures.
- Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions.
- Manage suppliers’ performance and conduct audits.
- Preparation of QA reports.
QUALIFICATION
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors in Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years experience in electronics manufacturing is preferred.

Technical Customer Service Specialist

The configuration management role focuses on creating, establishing and maintaining an up-to-date record of engineering designs. Sr. Test Engineer

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Under the general supervision of the Manager of Test Engineering, the Senior Test Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of test plans, test procedures, test hardware and test software used during the manufacturing process.

During the product development cycle, work closely with Development Engineering teams to completely understand new product functionality and testing requirements.

Based on the requirements of test procedures developed, design software routines which properly exercise the hardware test fixtures and/or the devices under test.
Train manufacturing personnel in the correct operation of tests put in place. Train these personnel how to correctly interpret the data generated by the tests to assure meaningful results.
Recommend purchases of test equipment necessary to conduct manufacturing tests, when needed.
Direct the efforts of Test Engineering Technicians and mentor them.
