The Big-Dish Mini-M interfaces to a wide range of DC power sources (from 10.5 to 32Vdc), which together with the extremely low power consumption makes it ideal for solar powered operation. Due to the high gain antenna technology, the Big-Dish satphone can utilize the low call rates available from a wide range of Service Providers. The Big-Dish Mini-M features a 16 Khz debit tone-pulse, indicating "called party connect" for use with payphones connected to the aux. phone interface. The Big-Dish satphone provides an automatic call log system containing the last 100 calls, as well as the possibility to print a call-receipt every time a call is terminated via the serial printer interface. The Big-Dish antenna is fully sealed and can be mounted outdoor even in the harshest weather conditions. The antenna can be remoted up to 70 meters from the main unit. To ease the installation an optional mounting bracket is available. The Big-Dish Mini-M satphone features various call-restrictive functions, making it the ideal solution for Rural Public Payphones, Roadside Emergency Telephones, Business Payphones, and SCADA applications.
