 The GCS-4600 "Launcher" is a portable Satellite Mobile Office kit designed for Voice & Data communications from the Thuraya/RBGAN coverage area.
The kit includes a custom carry-on travel case with wheels and handle as well as a Inmarsat RBGAN-modem and a Thuraya-satphone. Custom cut-outs are for the respective hardware and accessories as well as standard laptops (MAC-G4, etc.). The Thuraya satellite-phone is used for voice communciations and the Regional-BGAN modem is used for data transmissions such as file-transfer, email, internet, etc. This portable package was designed for the photo, video, or print journalist in mind, but has expanded to anyone who requires rapid and portable satellite communications.
